can be syndicated to user RSS feeds.
Many content rich sites use RSS and Blogging to keep
the user up-to-date with information, breaking news
and other stories. Subscription by RSS makes the content
come to the user rather than user having to go to different
blogs to fetch it. Hence RSS, utilized “pull” technology
which means user ask for content, unlike email marketing,
which relies on “push” technology to push content unasked
for.

opportunity for the internet marketing community right
now. Cleverly written blogs are relatively easy to maintain
pages that contain enough information about product
and services to sell-it.
Advantage of using RSS for
Blogging
Several search engine such as Yahoo and MSN are offering
to index your RSS along with your websites (or Blogs)
if your visitors include your RSS feed in their search
engine specific accounts. Yahoo will spider your RSS
feed and blog if a visitor to your blog includes your
feed in his or her My Yahoo account. Yahoo is doing
this within 48 hours of such an occurrence. All this
happen without costing you a single penny. You can further
speed up the process by subscribing your RSS feed to
My Yahoo Account.
Adding your RSS feed
to My Yahoo and MSN Account
After you start to post regularly on your Blog you
should add your feed to my yahoo account. If you don’t
have account in yahoo then go and create it (),
it’s important. Find what is your RSS feed URL and after
gathering this information log on to My Yahoo Account.
When you have logged in to your account Yahoo will provide
you with three options as shown in picture below
Click on the “Add your content” link, you will be forwarded
to next page where you will see a search box and to
the right of the box you will find a link called “Add
RSS by URL” click on that link.
On the next page simply enter your feed URL in the
box provided by yahoo and then click on Add button.
After adding your URL your receive another page where
you will find Your Blog Name and button for adding your
blog to My yahoo Account click on the button and you
will find on your my Yahoo page that your Blog is listed.
That’s it your are done.
Microsoft created MSN account similar to My Yahoo account.
If you are not registered then register yourself with
MSN by visiting (http://www.msn.com). Login in to your
account and look for the box saying “Add content” simply
enter your RSS URL in the box provided click on “OK”
button. If you have done correctly your RSS URL will
be listed on the MSN Account page.
