In
the first part of Learning
Google Adwords, so far you
have learned what Google Adwords is
and how to make better profits from
it. Here you will discover how to
select proper keywords and how to
write successful ad copy.
Selecting your Adword Keyword in a
right way
Keyword selection is one of the most
important steps which will make or
break your Adword campaign. Selecting
the right keyword will trigger your
ads appear next to the search term
if you pay close attention while choosing
your set of keywords for Adword. A
good approach will be digging down
the keyword, just think what term
you will use when searching for products
similar to your own.
The rule of thumb is to use long-tail
keywords while setting up your Adword
campaign. Because the broader the
term will be the higher the competition
will be and higher you have to bid
to get good ad position. Always go
for long term key phrase, it will
bring you targeted customer to your
website and will cost you far less
than using broad key phrase.
Suppose you are buyer and looking
to buy “Panasonic premieres DMC-GH1
with HD video recording” and you are
using keyword “Panasonic digital camera”
as your keyphrase. Which keyword you
think will trigger more sales if you
are selling Panasonic premieres DMC-GH1
model.
Avoid using popular words and stick
with the less popular but more profitable
keywords. Finding such specific keyphrases
can be time consuming, but it's worth
it as research has shown that although
much cheaper using specific phrases
helps get more highly targeted people
to your site and hence helps you get
more sales.
Google Adwords also recommend advertiser
to use spelling variations and plural
versions of your keyword to reach
everyone in your target audience.
This is one of the good approach because
not everyone will type the keyword
in same manner as you do, so using
keyword variation is good feature
to be used while creating your Adsense
campaign.
How to create
your Adword Ads
All the above steps which you have
learned will not trigger any sales
until and unless you write an ad copy
which causes customer to click on
your ad and arrived at your sales
page. So writing good ad copy will
not only bring prospect at your door
step but it will also bring a customer
which will b one step away from giving
you profit.
To achieve a good written ad copy,
you must include attention grabbing
words like “free”, “how to”, “tips”,
“limited time offer”, “goal” in your
ad copy and give the advantage of
the product at the same time. This
however isn't easy as Google allows
you a headline of at most 25 characters
including spaces and only two other
lines of at most 35 characters including
spaces, so stick to the point as room
is limited. You can use the space
up to full of extent by avoiding use
of words like “and”, “or”, “on”, “of”,
“at” in your ad copy.
Your ad copy must contain your targeted
keyword in your title and if it in
body of your ad then it will be great.
This will increase the chances of
your ad to be appeared more when that
particular search term is searched.
This will also increase click through
rate of your ad copy.
Also keep in mind always use different
campaign for different set of keywords.
This will allow you to save money
and also allow your ad copy to be
clicked more by customer.
